OPUS 6 & 9 Co-op Work Program


With the OPUS program, your study and work placement in Vancouver will allow you to apply what you learn in the classroom to your work environment. You’ll have the life-changing opportunity to practice your language skills with native speakers in real-life work situations.  

Our OPUS Co-op Work Program offers the following:

  • 6 and 9 months work and study programs in Vancouver
  • Opportunity to practice the English you learn in the classroom in a work setting
  • The study portion of your course will include a Workplace Preparation Program

The OPUS Co-op Work Program is ideal for you if:

  • Your goal is to improve your English skills in a Customer Service / Retail environment
  • You can stay in Canada for at least 26 weeks (program lengths vary)
  • You are 18-30 years old
  • You are looking for a more affordable learning experience

Program length:
OPUS 6: 6 months (26-27 weeks depending on start date)
OPUS 9: 9 months (35-37 weeks depending on start date)

Lessons per week while studying: 20 lessons + 7.5 hours of Task Team Time

Lesson length: 45 minutes

Minimum age: 18

Entry-level requirements: B2- Higher Intermediate+ (or equivalent)

Certificates

At PLI, we have a complete student care system that is specifically designed to help you improve your English production skills. We work with you to provide you with tangible learning targets and constant feedback.

We will also provide you with an English Certificate at the end of your course, provided you have completed at least two weeks of English studies and have achieved an attendance record of at least 80%. Your Individual Student Report will contain your personal course and test results, so you can track your progress and plan for improvement.
