English for Customer Service & Tourism

Want to improve your English and practice it within the hospitality / tourism industry in a beautiful Canadian location? If you are between the ages of 18-30 and can travel for 8-12 months, this is an ideal course for you. You will study in Vancouver and then travel to a resort outside of the city to start to start your work placement. You will stay in staff accommodations while you are working.

Our English for Customer Service & Tourism course is ideal if:

  • You are between 18-30 years old
  • You would like to develop your language skills and increase your job opportunities
  • You would like to help pay for your English studies and gain work experience

Program details

  • Study portion of your course includes a Workplace Preparation class
  • Study English at PLI in Vancouver
  • Put your English into practice working in one of many vacation/ski resorts outside of the city
  • Paid full-time entry-level positions
  • 8, 10 or 12 month programs available
  • Earn $8 - 10 per hour on average

Lessons per week: 30 lessons + 7.5 hours of Task Team Time

Lesson length: 45 minutes

Minimum age: 18

Entry-level requirements: B2- Higher Intermediate+ (or equivalent)

Certificates

At PLI, we have a complete student care system that is specifically designed to help you improve your English production skills. We work with you to provide you with tangible learning targets and constant feedback.

We will also provide you with an English Certificate at the end of your course, provided you have completed at least two weeks of English studies and have achieved an attendance record of at least 80%. Your Individual Student Report will contain your personal course and test results, so you can track your progress and plan for improvement.
